Real Wedding: Nicole+David at Sodo Park

Love doughnuts? Love Milkglass? Love unique centerpieces? So do we and our fabulous bride Nicole and her husband David! This wedding at Sodo Park, styled and coordination by The Invisible Hostess and photographed by Rick+Anna Photography, featured the yummiest reception table centerpieces featuring our milk glass cake stands holding donuts from Mighty O Donuts. (How’s that for usefulness, originality and tastiness!) Milkglass-cake-pedestal-from-Vintage-Ambiance_Rick-+-Anna-Photography Another inventory item from the Vintage Ambiance warehouse that was featured that we have to take a moment and talk about is our Victorian Celery Vases. No dinner in the Victorian period would have been complete without a side of celery, as celery was perceived as a high-status food. So for most of the 19th century, the leafy celery and glass vase created a decorative accent for the dining table, similar to a bouquet of flowers and therefore was given a prominent position on the dining table.  Celery vases themselves consist of a tall, narrow tapered bowl above a pedestal base. These vases were made in blown glass that was cut or in pressed glass shaped and decorated with relief patterns in a mold. Although no celery was used in the florals from Melanie Benson Floral for this wedding, we think the use of pink carnations, ecualiiptus and yellow ranunculus flowers looked delightful.
